Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Middle School Assistant Principal (AP) of STEM is to bring Brilla Public Charter Schools' mission to life by executing the Strategic Priorities set forth by the Principal. Supervised directly by the principal, the AP of STEM ensures continuity of instructional practice and fidelity to the curriculum by providing coaching and support in adaptation to meet the needs of a particular cohort. The AP assists the principal in the planning and execution of key academic and cultural initiatives and programming, with a focus on STEM. The AP supervises the school-wide approach to Tier 2 and Tier 3 behaviors in collaboration with the leadership and Student Services team, ensuring that systems and procedures are being followed to best meet the needs of all students. Additionally, the AP directly supervises a caseload of teachers. Job Description The Community Service Society (CSS) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that has been at the forefront of public policy innovations that support low-income New Yorkers for more than 180 years. In 2019, through its Program Services Department, CSS launched the Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP), which helps consumers navigate the student lending system and make informed decisions about financing higher education. In 2024, EDCAP expanded its services to support current and future college students with financial aid (FAFSA) application assistance and pre-college counseling. EDCAP is increasing its capacity to meet the demand for these services and is looking for a strong candidate to join its team. Job Description: EDCAP provides remote and in-person counseling services to individuals who need help with student loans and funding higher education. Services include assisting borrowers with enrolling in appropriate repayment plans, getting out of default, applying for student loan discharge or forgiveness programs, and more. With its expanded focus on college affordability, EDCAP now also supports students and families in understanding financial aid options and making informed decisions about paying for college. The College Aid Associate will play a key role in delivering these expanded services. This role also leads all marketing communications and partnership materials for the MCU Foundation, supporting MCU’s mission and community impact efforts. Responsibilities: Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Partnership Development (New York City Focus) • Develop innovative partnership ideas with quintessential New York City organizations, including events, sports teams, museums, music venues, restaurants, and art institutions, with the goal of delivering unique benefits and experiences for MCU members while driving measurable business outcomes, • Design and advance partnership programs that support key growth priorities, including:, • Credit & Debit Card adoption and usage, including rewards-based and co-promoted experiences, • Interchange revenue growth through increased card spend, • Member engagement and retention through ongoing, locally relevant benefits, • New member acquisition through exclusive partner-driven offers and incentives, • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure partnership concepts are financially viable, compliant, and aligned with MCU’s growth strategy, • Create partnership presentations and materials and meet directly with New York City–based organizations to pitch concepts, negotiate program terms, and define success metrics, • Support the launch, promotion, and optimization of partnership programs across marketing channels to maximize awareness, participation, and performance, • Evaluate partnership performance, including member acquisition, card usage, engagement, and ROI, using insights to refine and scale successful programs, • Examples include:, • Discounted tickets to sporting or entertainment events for MCU members, • Enhanced rewards (e.g., 3X points) for MCU credit cardholders at neighborhood restaurants, • Incentives such as free or discounted subway rides for new MCU members, • Create partnership presentations and materials and meet directly with New York City–based organizations to pitch concepts and negotiate program terms, • Work closely with MCU Foundation partners, including Bowery Mission, City Harvest, Ronald McDonald House, and Children’s Aid, to develop an annual communications and volunteer engagement plan, • Support all marketing and communications efforts for the MCU Foundation, including:, • Press releases and media communications, • Social media content, • Member and employee communications, • Volunteer event communications, • The MCU Foundation Annual Impact Report, • Ensure consistent, compelling messaging that reflects MCU’s brand and commitment to community impact, • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned Requirements: • Bachelor or advanced degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field., • 10+ years of communications, nonprofit and partnership experience preferred, • Financial services experience is preferred, • Public relations experience preferred, • Strong written, verbal, and digital communications skills, • Comfortable working with executive management, employees, media and the larger MCU community, • Technologically proficient.
