Role Overview The Solutions Architect for PLM Fleet is a pivotal role within the IT department, responsible for shaping the technological direction of the organization. Based in a hybrid work environment, the architect is entrusted with designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that address complex business challenges. This position is not only about technical expertise but also about providing visionary leadership and fostering a culture of collaboration across diverse teams. As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as the technical backbone of the organization, ensuring that all products and services align with the broader technology strategy. Your work will involve conceiving and experimenting with new architectural approaches, guiding the full-stack design and implementation process, and maintaining the integrity and consistency of enterprise-level solutions. You will balance technical requirements with business objectives, championing agility and modern DevOps practices to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will engage with business stakeholders to understand and translate requirements, coordinate development efforts with cross-functional teams—including VPs, managers, analysts, and engineers—and lead knowledge transfer sessions to mentor staff and promote ongoing learning. Your technical ownership will extend to platforms such as Dynamics 365, the MyPLM Customer Portal, and B2B integrations, including telematics, ensuring these systems are secure, scalable, and resilient. The Value You Bring • Architectural Leadership:, • Ensure integrity and consistency across products/services to support the organization’s technology strategy., • Conceive, experiment, and present architectural approaches for new products/services., • Guide full-stack design and implementation, from front-end to back-end., • Provide enterprise-level architectural direction and governance, balancing technical and business needs., • Champion agility, DevOps, and agile-at-scale principles., • Collaboration & Communication:, • Interact with business stakeholders to develop and interpret requirements., • Coordinate development efforts and release schedules with cross-functional teams (VPs, managers, analysts, engineers, etc.)., • Lead weekly knowledge transfer sessions and mentor staff for continuous improvement., • Technical Ownership:, • Oversee technical design and ownership of Dynamics 365, Customer Portal, and B2B integrations (including Telematics)., • Evaluate, configure, install, and maintain cloud and on-premise platforms., • Build secure, scalable, resilient, transaction-intensive applications and APIs. The Knowledge and Skills You Have: • Education & Experience:, • Computer Science or Technical degree (or equivalent)., • 10+ years in IT (including database development, architecture, distributed applications)., • 5+ years with Object-Oriented languages., • 5+ years in application development, testing, and debugging (Visual Studio/Code, Eclipse)., • 5+ years with Microsoft development technologies (.NET framework)., • Technical Skills:, • Broad knowledge of software development processes/methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Lean, XP, Prototype, Waterfall)., • Familiarity with architectural styles, design patterns, coding methods, and languages., • Experience with SDLC, SOA, cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP or other cloud platforms), • Proficiency in C#, C, C++, Java, JavaScript/JQuery, JSON, XML, .Net, HTML, CSS., • Experience with web/API development, distributed architecture, mobile-first design, and ERP/CRM systems., • REST API design/implementation (Azure API Management, ASP.NET Web API)., • Knowledge of SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, • Understanding of web server/client architecture, Database /Data warehouse development, UML, and object-oriented analysis/design., • Soft Skills:, • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills., • Creative problem-solving and business value creation., • Effective teamwork and cross-disciplinary collaboration., • Values:, • Champion PLM’s core values: Teamwork, Accountability, Leadership, Customer Centricity., • Willingness to take on other duties and special projects.
