Position Overview\n We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team at Vera's Family and Children Wellness Center. In this full-time remote role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality mental health care to young individuals and their families, focusing on their emotional, psychological, and developmental well-being. Work Environment\n This position offers a remote work setting with flexible hours primarily adhering to a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs. You will be utilizing modern technology platforms for teletherapy sessions, electronic health record (EHR) management, and collaborative strategies with team members. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate and understand the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.\n, • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider the individual developmental stages, needs, and family dynamics.\n, • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy.\n, • Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at improving communication and strengthening the support system surrounding young patients.\n, • Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, improving outcomes and addressing all aspects of mental health.\n, • Engage actively in crisis intervention strategies when children and adolescents require urgent mental health support.\n, • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and connection to community resources.\n, • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date documentation in line with legal and ethical reporting standards.\n, • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education efforts to enhance professional knowledge and skills.\n, • Stay informed about the latest research developments and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n This role focuses on working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will contribute to the holistic care of young patients, ensuring that they have access to the support they need during formative years. Qualifications\n\n • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.\n, • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.\n, • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing hands-on work in the mental health field.\n, • Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment modalities.\n, • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to young clients and their families in various settings.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on establishing positive relationships with children, adolescents, and families.\n, • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and digital tools for therapy delivery.\n, • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, promoting integrated care.\nPreferred Experience\n\n, • Experience with diverse populations, employing culturally sensitive approaches in therapy.\n, • Background in working with youth involved in the child welfare system or experiencing trauma.\n, • Knowledge of local community resources and supports for mental health services.\nCompensation and Benefits\n The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
