Summary/Objective: The Registered Nurse will oversee the practical aspects of the pharmacologic stress test while assisting the Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing an overview and instructions to each patient, including the effects of the stress agent, adverse effects that they might experience, and how any adverse effects will be managed. Essential Functions: • Prepares patient for stress testing procedure; including patient interviews, obtaining medical history, obtaining patient consent and required signatures, and conducting patient teaching related to nuclear imaging procedure, including risks and complications., • Assesses patients’ blood pressure, pulse, obtains oxygen % saturation levels and establishes Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access., • Sets up and monitors patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead EKG monitor pads and application leads., • Identifies EKG rhythm and interpretation under physician guidance., • Under the direct supervision of the site physician, applies ACLS algorithms if patients experience complications or cardiac arrest during procedure including administration of resuscitation pharmacological agents, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway placement., • Completes daily paperwork at customer site to include obtaining physician signature(s), photocopying, scanning, etc., • Maintains inventory of supplies and drugs at hub and on mobile unit., • Complies with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards., • Performs other related duties as required and assigned. About the Role: The Per Diem Administrator on Duty (AOD) is responsible for supporting health, safety, and overall functioning of the residential program during assigned shifts. This includes monitoring program delivery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining professional standards of care. While not a supervisory role, the per diem AOD is expected to provide on-the-ground support to direct care staff, assist in resolving issues that arise during the shift, and escalate concerns appropriately. In the absence of full-time leadership (e.g., Assistant Residential Directors or Residential Director), the AOD serves as the point person for coordination and communication. This position plays a key role in maintaining continuity of care and ensuring youth and staff safety during non-standard hours, weekends or holidays. RTC staff may be required to remain on shift if there is no immediate staff relief available, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for youth at all times. Flexibility in shift scheduling may be necessary to meet staffing needs. What You’ll Do • Supports the person’s developmental needs, desires, preferences, and choices., • Provides support with the person’s goals as outlined by their Staff Action and Life Plan., • Escort people supported the community for both recreational purposes and with healthcare professionals as needed., • Operate agency vehicle to support programmatic needs, • Assist with meal planning and preparation, • Provide the necessary level of supervision and support for a person’s needs (behavioral, medical developmental, emotional etc.), • Safely administer medication under the license of the RN as described in Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) training (if applicable), • Be knowledgeable of all OPWDD, NYSJC, and organizational policies and adhere to them accordingly, • Ensures that the program environment is clean, safe and offers a positive home like environment, • Complete all mandated OPWDD and Rising Ground Trainings, • Act as a mandated reporter in accordance with OPWDD, NYSJC, and Organizational Policies, • Notify program RN or appropriate administrator when a concern arises that may impact on the health or safety of the people supported., • Contemporaneously complete all documentation including, but not limited to monthly progress notes, daily billing, medical follow-up, clinical data or other communications as assigned, • High School Diploma/GED Required, • Valid State Driver’s License (NYS preferred), • Must be able to work independently and self-directed., • Must be able to use technology (for completion of billing data and other assigned tasks), • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Positive attitude toward the challenges faced by the people that we support., • Must be flexible with meeting the needs of the people they support., • Availability to meet the schedule of the position as assigned, with occasional flexibility Supervisory Responsibility No Work Environment: Field Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
