The provider will deliver comprehensive psychiatric care across diverse patient populations in a hospital setting. Job Details • Location: New York, • Start Date: Jan 2, 2026, • LOA: 10 days, • Provider Type Needed: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including psychiatric history, mental status exams, and assessment of psychosocial functioning, • Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders utilizing evidence-based treatment plans for patients with acute, chronic, and complex conditions, • Prescribe, titrate, or discontinue psychotropic medications within licensure scope, • Deliver brief, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions (CBT, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing), • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, primary care, and nursing teams in care planning and treatment team rounds, • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, progress notes, medication orders, and discharge summaries, • Monitor treatment response, side effects, and medication adherence; order and interpret relevant laboratory or diagnostic tests, • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment, including management of suicidal or homicidal ideation and coordination of higher levels of care as needed, • Active New York Nurse Practitioner license required, • Board certification in Psychiatry required, • Strong compensation, • Travel-related expenses covered, • A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided #LI-SC1
