Job Description We’re looking for a skilled millworker who doesn’t just build—but understands how things come together from concept to completion. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on fabrication and digital precision. You’ll be responsible for building high-quality custom displays, signage, and branded environments—while also creating accurate CAD drawings that drive CNC production. If you can only build, this isn’t the role. If you can only draw, this isn’t the role. We need someone who can do both—and understands how one impacts the other. What You’ll Do • Fabricate custom signage, displays, and architectural elements using wood, plastics, and mixed materials, • Translate design concepts into detailed CAD drawings ready for CNC production, • Create shop drawings, cut files, and layouts that ensure efficient, accurate builds, • Work closely with design, project management, and production teams to bring ideas to life, • Understand materials, joinery, tolerances, and finishes—and how they impact fabrication, • Set up and optimize files for CNC routers and digital cutting systems, • Problem-solve in real time—adjusting designs to improve buildability and efficiency, • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail What We’re Looking For • Strong hands-on millwork / fabrication experience (not just assembly), • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar), • Experience preparing files for CNC production (toolpaths, nesting, etc.), • Deep understanding of how things are actually built—not just drawn, • Ability to think through construction details before they become problems, • Experience with signage, branded environments, or custom displays is a major plus, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, • Takes pride in clean work, smart solutions, and getting it right the first time Why This Role Matters At 71 Visuals, we don’t just make signs—we build branded environments that people experience. This role is critical in bridging the gap between design intent and real-world execution. Your ability to both build and detail directly impacts quality, efficiency, and the final product our clients see. Bonus Points • Experience with Kongsberg or similar digital cutting systems, • Knowledge of large-format printing and signage materials, • Ability to prototype and mock up concepts quickly, • Familiarity with installation methods and field conditions Bottom Line We’re looking for someone who can walk into the shop, understand how something should be built—and then go to their computer and create the exact files to make it happen efficiently. If that’s you, you’ll fit right in. Company Description71 Visuals has been in business since 1971. We are employee-focused and our team is the most important part of our success.
