Job Description AIM (Advocate, Intervene, Mentor) is an intensive mentoring and advocacy program serving adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 who are on juvenile probation or at-risk of out-of-home placement as a result of a Family Court disposition. The Advocate Mentor will work with a cohort of four to six mentees providing intensive in-home and community support, guidance, and crisis intervention. Job Description The Restorative Justice Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing a sustainable Restorative Justice program at the JHS 292 school, a community school program within Good Shepherd Services (GSS). The Coordinator will be responsible for delivering restorative practices to improve outcomes for youth, staff and families, school-wide trainings for staff and students, as well as restorative circle groups, mentoring and de-escalation support to individual students as needed. Job Description The Parent Support Program is designed to educate and support families of juvenile probationers and juvenile detainees. The program seeks to decrease the family’s reliance on law enforcement consequences by referring families to services that can help keep their young person safe and in the community. Families of detainees will be supported in maintaining and strengthening relationships with their loved-ones in detention and preparing for the transition home. The Parent Coach provides peer mentorship, guidance, and referral services for parents and families. S/He will work with probation officers and case managers to engage families in service planning for their child, with the goal of increasing family engagement at all levels of the probation process. Job Description The Cure Violence Bronx Educational/Vocational Specialist works with program staff, in helping program participants connect with jobs, job readiness training and continuing education through developing contacts and networks in the public and private sector. The Educational/Vocational Specialist will help to provide economic support and employment-related services to people in need for the purpose of promoting individual and family self-sufficiency in the areas within the Bronx 46th, 47th Precinct, and 52nd Precinct. Within Brooklyn Family Court, the program seeks to decrease the family's reliance on law enforcement consequences by referring families to services that can help keep their young person safe and in the community. Within our detention facilities, we help build bridges of communication between ACS, other key stakeholders, and parents. The Director will support Parent Coach Supervisors and Coaches who provide peer mentorship, guidance, and referral services for parents and families whose children are court involved and/or detained. S/He will work with probation officers and ACS staff to engage families in service planning for their child, with the goal of increasing family engagement at all levels of the probation and/or court and detention process. These staff, in turn, will have direct oversight of all staff that provide clinical health services under our A29i license., • Represent agency with external partners including relevant governmental and regulatory agencies and leadership and participate in the development of policies and procedures for statewide implementation., • Manage Medicaid policy issues and advocacy and maintain up to date knowledge in relevant practice areas., • Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations as well as funder and OMIG guidelines., • Collaborate within staff in the GSS fiscal division to maintain fiscal compliance and reconciliation including developing budgets, tracking, and reporting for Medicaid services, • Collaborate with staff in the Impact and Strategy division to set goals, develop metrics, analyze data, and continuously improve, while we ensure program compliance and fiscal stability., • Sit on Incident Risk Management Committee, • Collaborate with other departments and programs within GSS to initiate and implement new program development as it relates to Medicaid services., • Participate in the development and writing of private and public proposals., • Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer on Medicaid compliance and HIPAA concerns, • Use outcome data to drive programmatic decisions and use technology as a management tool., • Liaise with GSS support teams around Medicaid issues and implementation., • Licensure: NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health preferred) in good standing., • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience navigating complex Medicaid Managed Care Policies and Procedures, Including Billing & Streamlining Treatment Plans specifically as it relates to Child Welfare (Foster Care; Residential; Health Home etc). Navigating and Increasing Medicaid Reimbursements., • Ideal Experience: Experience in Article 29I preferred. In lieu, may consider candidates with significant behavioral health experience in child welfare setting (Article 31 setting), • Leadership: Demonstrated 10 years of Senior Leadership experience. Ability to manage diverse program portfolios. Extensive experience supervising leadership staff not limited to Vice Presidents of various programming., • Program Development: Proven track record in designing and implementing new programs, procedures, and protocols., • Budget Management: Skilled in developing, managing, and monitoring budgets (minimum 5 Million) effectively for diverse large portfolio of child welfare programming., • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access). They should be able to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity, movement, and collaboration.
