Job Description Job Description A Biomedical Technician, also known as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various medical equipment used in healthcare facilities, ensuring its safe and proper functionality by diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and coordinating with medical staff to optimize patient care through equipment usage training and technical support; often requiring a strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and medical procedures.
