This facility handles a vast range of surgical specialties, from routine outpatient procedures to complex robotic and neurosurgical cases. As a primary Circulator, you will be responsible for patient advocacy, maintaining the sterile field's integrity, and coordinating the surgical team across all age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Key Responsibilities • Surgical Circulation: Coordinate all activities within the OR suite, ensuring all equipment (including Robotics and VATS) is ready and sterile., • Specialty Coverage: Provide expert care across a diverse caseload including Bariatrics, Whipple procedures, Craniotomies, Total Joint Replacements, and Vascular repairs (AAA and Carotid Endarterectomy)., • Robotic Surgery Support: Assist in various robotic-assisted cases (Colorectal, GYN, Ortho, and Urologic)., • Patient Safety: Manage surgical counts, skin prep, and patient positioning for complex procedures like spinal fusions and radical neck dissections., • Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR for meticulous intraoperative charting.Requirements & Qualifications, • Experience: Minimum 1 year of OR experience., • Traveler Status: 1st-time travelers are accepted., • Licensure: Active New Jersey State RN License in hand., • Certifications: * BLS (AHA) – Required., • ACLS (AHA) – Preferred., • Skills: Strong proficiency in circulating a wide array of cases, particularly Robotics, Neuro, and Vascular.Unit & Facility Details, • Setting: Community Hospital with a high-acuity surgical volume., • Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics., • Support: Strong interdisciplinary team including Respiratory, Radiology, and Rapid Response., • Dress Code: Scrubs are provided by the facility., • Orientation: 32 hours of orientation; modules are completed onsite.Financial & Policy Notes By meeting the rigorous standards set by The Joint Commission, one of the most respected accrediting bodies in healthcare, we've demonstrated that our processes, compliance, and patient care standards are aligned with the highest levels of quality in the industry.
