American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/13/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 13, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Inpatient cardiac med/surgical intermediate unit (Cardiac Med 4A) in a hospital setting, • 32-bed unit serving cardiac and med/surg patient populations, • Night shift: 19:00–07:00 (7pm–7am), • Patient ratios: approximately 1:6–1:8 on nights (estimates only), • Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment, • EMR: Epic, • Floating required on a rotational basis, • Weekend hours required per facility need, • No on-call requirements, • 13-week contractRequirements, • Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state license meeting Missouri eligibility requirements, • Valid U.S. Social Security Number required, • Current BLS certification from AHA required, • NIHSS certification required prior to start date (may be submitted without, but must be obtained before starting), • 4 trauma credits required or must be completed within the first two weeks of the assignment, • ACLS from AHA preferred, • Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient cardiac telemetry experience required, • Experience and competency in drug titration required, • No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months, • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduledAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include direct patient care across all age groups, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, • Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes, • Physical demands include standing and walking for most of the shift, significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs, • High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids, • Night shift orients on day shift and candidate must be available for the entire orientation week, • RTO of up to 5 days is permitted but must be made up during the assignment; RTO will not be approved during the first week, • Only 1 holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment, • Black scrubs required; torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not permitted, • Flu vaccination (or a Mercy-approved exemption) is required for the period of November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted, • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a reduced bill rate, • Candidates living within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning, • The facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and a Level 2 Stroke Center With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
