Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients. Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources. Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to policy. Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization including staffing and time management. Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies. Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. Engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Follows all organizational values. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of six months to three years of nursing (RN) experience required. Current NYS RN License. BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). NRP and FM certifications, ACLS preferred. Experience in labor and delivery or high-risk OB, with ability to perform vaginal exams. Schedule This position requires night shifts, consisting of 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, with some flexibility for blocked scheduling based on current needs. Why ARMStaffing?
