Job Description Job Title: Furniture Assembler Job Description We are seeking a furniture assembler to join our Syracuse team dedicated to installing office furniture for large construction projects. This is a permanent position in a stable company, offering the chance to work in a variety of locations and settings. Responsibilities • Load, transport, and unload office furniture at job sites., • Assemble and install desks, chairs, cubicles, shelving, and cabinets according to specifications., • Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed furniture., • Follow blueprints, installation guides, and client instructions for accurate placement., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of packaging materials properly., • Use hand and power tools safely for assembly and installation., • Communicate with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues., • 1+ years of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, manufacturing assembly, roofing, landscaping, or related construction fields., • Experience operating a box truck or a large delivery truck., • Clean driving record., • Willingness to work overtime., • Willingness to travel regionally throughout NY with occasional overnight travel. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime during the week and on Saturdays. Occasional overnight travel is required, with hotel or per diem expenses covered by the employer. Candidates will have their own hotel room. PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times. Candidates must provide and wear steel toe/safety toe boots, work pants/jeans, and non-graphic t-shirts. Work conditions are primarily indoors in office buildings but may involve warehouse work or occasional outdoor loading/unloading. Some sites may be under construction or undergoing renovations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
