DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Manufacturing Engineering • Conduct analysis of transactional times and propose improvements for the flow of inbound/outbound Materials, utilizing time studies, value stream mapping and other tools (ie Spaghetti Diagrams), • Learn Lean practices (ie 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban....) in operational and material flows and how to apply them to the Minnesota Operations Center, • Learn 8 step problem solving methodology and implement at least one project during Coop assignment, • Work with assembly leads and Manufacturing Engineers to redesign assembly work cells by using the listed tools above and applying to fixture and layout installation to increase assembly cell productivity and efficiency, • Gain exposure to Bill of Material structure, routings and build spec sheets and how they interrelate for daily activities and how product development gets introduced, through assembly design to normal day to day activities, • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to trouble shoot issue from daily builds to understand and redesign to have a more efficient process of building finished goods General • Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company's policies and procedures, • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Our next full-time Manufacturing Technician will be a key player in production and will assist in the execution of processing and packaging activities in a cannabis production environment. They will support the maintenance of various packaging and manufacturing standards as well as coordinate the opening of the operation and closing of the department daily with the department manager. To Be BluntYou will be challenged to work tactically to ensure complete and on time execution of production schedules.One minute you will be preparing for the day and ensuring area is ready to begin production.The next minute you will be cross-training other packaging line operators.And the next minute assisting with inventory counts of packaging and labeling components, finished products.Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work within a diverse team in the organization. Where you’ll be plantedThis position will be on-site in our Boonton, NJ facility.To be blunt, this role will be about: • Adhere to the daily production schedule to ensure attainment of efficiency goals., • Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, and processing equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to the start of each shift or batch., • Clean and sanitize glassware, transfer materials, storage vessels, tools and working surfaces., • Manufactures products in accordance processing batch records using manual and semi-automated equipment., • Maintains and calibrates equipment as needed., • Keep work area cleaned and well organized., • Inspect work area upon arrival and departure for proper safety and eGMP., • Accurately completes batch records and associated documentation., • Troubleshoots equipment and process problems., • Supports process development., • Contribute to continuous improvement of TerrAscend processes., • Ensure the safety of themselves and other by maintaining a safe and orderly workspace., • Other duties in post-processing production, packaging, labeling and R & D as required.
