Job DescriptionGiving the Trades a Good Home The Role We're looking for an exceptional warehouse attendant with the work ethic and skills necessary to assist High Ground Service Pros in achieving its operating goals. As a warehouse assistant, you will work as an integral part of a dynamic and passionate team to provide premier HVAC and plumbing services to the central New Jersey region. Responsibilities: As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our warehouse and ensuring our field teams have the equipment and materials needed to provide exceptional service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Receiving – Receive, inspect, verify, and properly stock incoming shipments from vendors., • Staging – Prepare and organize materials, parts, and equipment for scheduled service and installation jobs., • Returns – Process vendor returns, warrantee items, and restock unused materials accurately., • Parts Running – Deliver parts, tools, and materials to technicians, job sites, or company locations as needed., • Cycle Counts – Perform scheduled inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy., • Full Inventory – Assist with complete warehouse inventory counts and reconciliation., • Inside Cleaning – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, storage rooms, and workspaces., • Outside Cleaning – Keep the warehouse exterior, yard, loading areas, and storage locations clean and presentable., • Scrap Removal – Collect, organize, and properly dispose of scrap materials while maintaining a safe work environment., • Install Kits – Assemble and prepare installation kits with all required materials and equipment before scheduled jobs., • Rental & Company Equipment – Track, maintain, organize, clean, and prepare company-owned and rental equipment to ensure it is operational and available when needed. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, maintain a sense of urgency, and take ownership of keeping the warehouse organized, accurate, and operating efficiently in support of our technicians and customers. Required Qualifications • Comfortable using tablets, computers, spreadsheets, inventory software, and multiple vendor websites to perform daily tasks., • Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance., • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and dependable personal transportation., • Ability to adapt quickly and think through changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify parts and materials that often have similar names, descriptions, and part numbers., • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with technicians, vendors, and fellow team members., • Willingness to learn and maintain a positive, team-first attitude.Experience, • Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or distribution is encouraged but not required., • High Ground Service Pros is willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and desire to grow.Physical Requirements, • Remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday., • Lift, carry, push, and move heavy materials, tools, and equipment safely., • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks., • Occasionally climb and work from ladders., • Safely handle sheet metal, equipment, tools, and warehouse materials., • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.Schedule & Availability, • Must be available to work between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM as business needs require., • Weekly hours are expected to vary based on seasonal workload and may range from 30 to 60 hours per week., • Overtime opportunities are available during peak seasons.
