Job Description Level 2–3 Technician Location: Greenvale, NY Type: Full Time — Onsite Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 (based on experience & certifications) About the Role A leading managed IT services provider is seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Level 2–3 Technician to join their Greenvale headquarters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical issues, supporting a wide range of environments, and contributing to long-term process improvements. You’ll serve as a primary escalation point while working onsite in Greenvale and visiting client locations across Nassau, Suffolk, and NYC. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary escalation resource for complex technical issues., • Take full ownership of escalated tickets from intake to resolution, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-through., • Troubleshoot and support Windows desktop/server environments, Microsoft 365, networking issues (VLANs, switching, VPN, firewall), and security tools., • Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions., • Document all steps, findings, and resolutions in the company’s ticketing system., • Update internal knowledge base content and troubleshooting procedures., • Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and internal teams., • Participate in customer meetings as a technical subject-matter resource., • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments., • Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Intune., • Familiarity with ThreatLocker, Huntress, ConnectSecure, and other security platforms., • Experience troubleshooting networking issues (VLANs, VPN, firewall, switching)., • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery systems., • Interest in long-term technical growth., • Experience performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term improvements., • Certifications that help you stand out (not required):, • Microsoft AZ-104, AZ-800, MD-102, SC-300, • Cisco CCNA or equivalent, • SonicWall SNSP or Fortinet NSE 5, • VMware VCP, • Enjoy solving complex problems and learning new technologies., • Work well independently and as part of a collaborative team., • Communicate clearly with both technical staff and end users., • Are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to documentation.
