Job Description Job Title: Service Technician Job Description • The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains residential and commercial systems, including internet, cable, satellite, security, HVAC, and smart home devices., • This role responds to service calls, troubleshoots technical issues, performs system upgrades, and ensures all equipment operates safely and efficiently., • Diagnose and repair residential and commercial systems such as internet, cable, satellite, security, HVAC, and smart home devices., • Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and accurately., • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing systems to optimize performance and reliability., • Test equipment and systems after repairs or installations to verify proper functionality and safety., • Educate customers on system operation, best practices, and preventative maintenance to reduce future issues., • Document all service calls, diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and system changes in a clear and accurate manner., • Maintain tools, testing equipment, and company vehicles in safe, clean, and working condition., • Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation when servicing systems., • Follow all safety guidelines, industry standards, and company procedures while working on-site and in vehicles., • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, including installation, service, and repair., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on a variety of residential and commercial systems., • Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and low-voltage systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams., • Knowledge of electrical principles related to HVAC and building systems., • EPA Universal certification or eligibility to obtain it., • Valid mechanical-related certification such as Mech 1., • Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple service calls., • Strong customer service and communication skills., • NATE certification is a plus., • Familiarity with internet, cable, satellite, security, and smart home systems., • Experience using diagnostic tools and test equipment for HVAC and electrical systems., • Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and company policies. Work Environment • This role is field-based and involves traveling to residential and commercial customer locations using a company vehicle., • You will work with HVAC systems, electrical components, and a variety of connected technologies such as internet, cable, satellite, security, and smart home devices., • The position requires the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in tight or elevated spaces., • Work hours may vary based on service call volume and customer needs.
