Job DescriptionHIRING!!!! $21/HR - Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description This long-term contract-to-hire Shipping and Receiving Specialist role supports a growing warehouse and manufacturing operation by processing orders in a new Oracle-based ERP system. The position combines hands-on material handling with accurate data entry, inventory control, and collaboration with a diverse and highly inclusive team. Responsibilities • Pick materials to fulfill work orders and support manufacturing activities in a timely and accurate manner., • Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring materials and finished goods are handled and staged correctly., • Receive finished goods and components into inventory, verifying quantities and condition against documentation., • Transfer, sort, identify, and mark materials and items from receiving or production areas for storage in designated locations., • Assist with entering inventory transactions into the ERP system (Oracle), accurately recording materials and items received, transferred, or distributed., • Assist in pulling, labeling, and verifying finished goods for shipping, ensuring picks match shipping documentation., • Participate in the annual fiscal year-end physical inventory count and support ongoing inventory accuracy efforts., • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, weight-counting scales, stretch wrap machines, and Dock Locks in a safe and compliant manner., • Perform all duties in conformance with company Business Management System (BMS) and AS9100/ISO standards and procedures., • Immediately notify a supervisor or Safety Manager of any safety or health concerns, hazards, or incidents., • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily shipping, receiving, and inventory goals., • Support and collaborate with coworkers in an inclusive environment, contributing to a respectful and patient workplace culture. Essential Skills • Previous warehouse experience, including background in shipping and/or receiving operations., • Experience with computerized inventory systems and data entry, with comfort using a computer on a daily basis., • Ability to perform accurate data entry into an ERP system; prior Oracle ERP experience is highly preferred., • Basic math and reading skills, including the ability to use a calculator and accurately count raw materials, parts, and finished goods., • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds safely as part of routine warehouse tasks., • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory, documentation, and system transactions., • Patience, acceptance, and a supportive attitude when working in a highly inclusive environment with a diverse workforce. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Past ERP experience, especially with Oracle, is ideal., • Forklift experience is a plus and may include operating other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and stretch wrap machines., • Experience with inspection, logistics, inventory control, packaging, and material handling is beneficial., • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous., • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications and RF scanners for tracking and documentation., • Experience using common shipping platforms and carriers such as FedEx is helpful., • Interest in mentoring, assisting, and supporting the development and training of coworkers., • Desire to contribute to a mission-driven environment and understand the broader purpose of the organization’s work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
