This paid internship ($3,000 stipend) runs from June 1 through August 21, 2026, and requires a commitment of 24 hours per week. Designed for students and emerging professionals who are passionate about service, this immersive experience provides meaningful, hands-on responsibility not just observation. Interns develop practical skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and mission-driven execution. In addition to field experience, interns participate in structured mentorship and learning sessions that deepen their understanding of trauma-informed care, systemic poverty, and compassionate leadership. Summer NJ Volunteer Hospitality Support Intern: The NJ Volunteer Hospitality Support Intern will assist the New Jersey Service Team Host in creating a welcoming, organized, and meaningful volunteer experience at City Reliefs Clifton Base of Operations. The intern will support day-to-day hospitality logistics for individual volunteers and service teams, including preparing the Base for volunteer arrivals, assisting with check-in processes, organizing hospitality supplies, and helping maintain a warm, orderly environment. The intern will also support service team preparation and follow-up by assisting with schedules, materials, and communication related to service teams hosted in New Jersey. Additional projects may include supporting volunteer appreciation efforts, helping document volunteer participation and feedback, organizing storage and supply areas, and assisting with administrative tasks connected to volunteer coordination and data tracking. Throughout the summer, the intern will gain exposure to faith-based nonprofit operations, volunteer engagement systems, and the behind-the-scenes work that supports outreach and service team programming in New Jersey.
