Crisis Responder Clinician I (39) Metro CIT Fresno, CA The Crisis Responder Clinician is part of the 24/7, Mobile Crisis Response Team serving individuals of all ages experiencing mental health crisis. The Crisis Responder Clinician will accompany or are requested by officers responding to calls for or from citizens who appear to have a mental health or substance use concern to offer crisis triage and symptom management, risk assessment, in-person psychoeducation, and case management. How will I contribute • Dispatched and respond to individual persons experiencing a crisis event in the community, across Fresno County., • Act as a leader for the dispatched mobile team, providing clinical guidance and instruction to team members., • Discuss appropriate referrals, and provide case management and aftercare services, as assigned., • Develop and maintain an awareness of community resources., • Assist in de-escalation, with the goal of crisis stabilization, hospital, and jail diversion as appropriate., • Evaluate and assess the severity of behavioral health symptoms., • Provide emergency crisis coverage to law enforcement for adults/youth exhibiting a behavioral health crisis., • Complete necessary program documentation within the identified program time frame., • Provide on-call services on a rotational basis as required by the program., • Timely completion of any provider enrollment forms and reports needed for third-party payers or other outside entities., • Assist in the promotion of agency mission, services, workshops, and classes. What I bring • Master’s degree in social sciences or related, • Current Associate Licensure ASW, AMFT, APCC. Must have a National Provider Identification (NPI) number or obtain an NPI number prior to start date, • Class C Driving License, • 2 years’ experience providing crisis management and mental health services., • Must possess independent clinical judgment and the ability to critically assess a situation for risk and response. Strong communication skills and knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral health and risk assessment., • Substance Abuse clinical experience preferred.
