The challenge • Own the on-site lifecycle—installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair—for CNC lathes, mills, and multi-function machining centers and accessory equipment., • Deliver operator training; connect machines to networks; configure software; perform preventive maintenance; execute alignments, major assembly replacements, overhauls/refurbs, upgrades/retrofits; and support un-install services., • Be the direct line between customers and the Service Group of the Robert E. Morris Company; capture voice-of-customer input and build brand dedication through excellent service., • Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams; use test equipment to pinpoint issues across electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and control domains., • Document and manage work using the Salesforce Lightning Customer Support system., • Travel from home to customer sites daily within your territory; stay overnight occasionally for remote jobs or training. What it takes, • Strong communication—in writing, in person, and by phone—with a professional demeanor and customer-first mindset., • Calm under pressure; flexible and adaptable when plans change., • Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Electro-mechanical foundation (motors, drives, transformers) with a desire to keep learning; experience in machine tool manufacturing/installation/operation/maintenance/repair or broad shop exposure is a plus., • Mechanical intuition, logical troubleshooting, and sound, rational decision-making.
