Job Description Position Overview The Renovations Assistant supports renovation, maintenance, and repair projects across residential properties. This role works closely with supervisors, contractors, and maintenance staff to ensure units and sites are prepared, repaired, and finished to company standards. The ideal candidate brings intermediate trade skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to assist throughout all phases of renovation work. Travel within New Jersey is required. Key Responsibilities • Assist with renovation tasks including site preparation, light demolition, installation, repairs, and cleanup., • Perform general maintenance repairs involving plumbing, electrical, and carpentry at an intermediate skill level., • Support installation and maintenance of equipment, fixtures, appliances, and building components., • Ensure high-quality workmanship on construction finishes and report any deficiencies to supervisors., • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are organized and in good working condition., • Follow all safety standards, codes, and regulations while maintaining a safe work environment., • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to meet project timelines and standards., • Assist with tracking project progress, materials, and documentation using basic Excel and Word functions., • Travel between job sites throughout Middlesex, Mercer, and Morris counties as required. Qualifications & Skills • Valid New Jersey driver’s license., • Bilingual in English and Spanish., • Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry., • Advanced understanding of construction finishes and detail-oriented workmanship., • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word., • Ability to lift heavy materials, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks., • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Strong communication skills; bilingual proficiency preferred., • Willing and able to travel throughout New Jersey.
