We're a team of ~12 people, headquartered in DUMBO, Brooklyn, building something that will matter for decades. \n \n About the Role \n You'll be SumIt's first dedicated marketing hire, working side by side with the Co-Founders to build our name in the wealth management world — and turn that reputation into qualified pipeline. \n \n This is not a performance-marketing seat. We sell to family offices and wealth managers: sophisticated, relationship-driven buyers in a small, high-trust market. Most of the job happens in rooms, not dashboards. We show up at roughly 20 conferences, 10 webinars, and a dozen dinners and meetups a year. You'll run that calendar like an operator, own our partner relationships, and be the keeper of how SumIt shows up in the market. \n \n You don't necessarily need to have been a marketer. The people who win this seat are organizers and relationship-builders first with a good feel for storytelling. The marketing craft is learnable, and with today's AI tools it's learnable fast. Judgment, follow-through, and making a partner feel well taken care of are not. What does help is some familiarity with our world — family offices, wealth management, accounting, or fintech — so you can hold a conversation with a controller or an advisor early on. \n \n Read what follows as a starting point, not a box. You'll work directly with the CEO every day, and you'll own this function outright — the calendar, the relationships, the story we tell. The scope below is where we'd start. Reports to the CEO. \n \n What You'll Do \n\n • Events (~30%) — Own the annual calendar end to end: which events, the budget, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, booth and demo readiness, pre-event outreach, and post-event follow-up with Sales. Attend our top-tier events in person and report ROI per event.\n, • Partnerships (~20%) — Grow our relationships with our partners: Addepar, Aleta, MyFO, Asora, BILL, Ramp, FOX, FWA, Campden, industry associations, CPA/advisor networks. Run co-marketing (joint webinars, dinners, content) and keep partners informed on a regular cadence.\n, • Brand & Storytelling (~25%) — Find the stories worth telling and tell them well. Work with our founders and team to surface the point of view, client wins, and lessons from the family-office trenches that deserve an audience — then shape them into LinkedIn posts, talks, newsletters, and case studies that people in our world actually repeat. You'll own a recurring events newsletter, maintain client and partner pages on our website, grow our LinkedIn presence, and produce case studies and client testimonials. You'll also be the guardian of how SumIt shows up to partners and prospects — one consistent story across our sales decks, booths, collateral, and more.\n, • Sales Enablement (~15%) — Arm Sales and CS with one-pagers, leaflets, decks, and demo scripts; partner with Product on launch communications.\n, • Marketing Ops (~10%) — Own the marketing and events budget with an accountant's discipline: accurate forecasting, timely invoices, clean coding, monthly reporting. Keep lead sources tidy in HubSpot.\n\n \n Handled separately today, but yours if you want it: \n SEO and search content, our product newsletter, and website design. You'd be the point of contact for that work. If you have the chops and the appetite, there's room to bring in some of it and grow the role around it — that's a conversation we're happy to have from the start. \n \n Required \n\n • A relationship builder. You're at ease walking into a room full of strangers, you read it fast, and you leave with names, follow-ups, and people who want to hear from you again.\n, • You know how to dial professionalism up or down. A principal's dinner, a CPA roundtable, a Zoom with a partner's marketing team, and a Slack thread with our engineers each get the right register — and you switch between them without thinking.\n, • A feel for story and brand. You can find the angle in a client win or a founder's opinion and shape it into something people repeat. You notice when a deck, a booth, or an email is off-brand before anyone else does.\n, • Meticulous. Twenty events means a lot of commitments a year — you keep every one of them. Nothing gets dropped, nobody has to chase you, and the details are right the first time.\n, • Experience running events, programs, or budgets end to end — planning through follow-up, with real accountability for the outcome.\n, • Excellent writing. This is a builder role at a critical inflection point: we are live in ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, and MISO markets, we have volume and liquidity partners, and now we need to scale. You will inherit a small but growing team of four, a rich pipeline of engaged target leads, and a platform that is structurally differentiated. Your job is to turn that pipeline into funded, actively trading accounts — systematically, measurably, and at scale. What will you be doing? The Creator Relations Manager is responsible for identifying, engaging, and procuring strategic influencer partnerships that align with client goals and objectives.
