    J.B. Woodcraft LLC is looking for a skilled and reliable Cabinet Finisher to join our custom millwork shop. We specialize in high end architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, retail fixtures, and residential projects throughout New York. We are looking for someone with finishing experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail. We will pay for LIRR transportation for qualified candidates. Responsibilities • Sanding and preparing cabinets, doors, panels, and millwork for finish, • Applying stain, primer, paint, lacquer, polyurethane, and clear coats, • Mixing stains and color matching when needed, • Using spray equipment and maintaining spray guns properly, • Working with wood veneers, MDF, plywood, and hardwoods, • Touch ups, polishing, and final finish preparation, • Maintaining a clean and organized finishing area, • Following production schedules and quality standards Qualifications • Experience in cabinet finishing or woodworking finishing, • Knowledge of spray finishing techniques and materials, • Experience with ILVA products is a plus, • Ability to prep surfaces properly for high quality finishes, • Strong attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Reliable and punctual, • Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Experience • Custom cabinetry or architectural millwork finishing, • Mixing stains and adjusting colors/sheens, • Using HVLP or air assisted spray systems, • Working in a professional woodshop environment

Responsibilities: • Read and interpret shop drawings and technical drawings, • Set up and operate woodworking machinery such as table saws, jointers, routers, edge banders, sanders, and other shop equipment, • Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinet and millwork components, • Work with plywood, MDF, veneers, laminates, and hardwoods, • Verify dimensions and maintain quality throughout production, • Assist with assembly, installations, and shop organization when needed, • Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following shop safety procedures, • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule Qualifications: • Minimum 6 years of cabinetmaking or woodworking experience required, • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints, • Experience using hand tools and woodworking machinery, • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Reliable and punctual, • Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shop, • Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Experience: • Custom cabinetry or architectural millwork experience, • Experience building projects from start to finish, • Experience working in a professional woodshop environment

    Machine Operator – Press Room Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining press room equipment to ensure the timely and accurate production of newspapers and other printed materials. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment with strict deadlines. Typical responsibilities align with current printing press operator standards, including setup, quality checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate press room machinery, including web presses, folders, stackers, and related equipment, • Load newsprint rolls, ink, plates, and other materials required for production, • Monitor print quality throughout press runs, including color, registration, pagination, and overall appearance, • Make real-time mechanical and ink adjustments to maintain production standards, • Troubleshoot jams, plate issues, ink flow problems, and minor mechanical malfunctions, • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on press equipment, • Ensure all press runs meet production deadlines and circulation requirements, • Maintain accurate production logs, downtime reports, and maintenance records, • Follow all workplace safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and PPE requirements, • Work collaboratively with pressmen, supervisors, and production team members to maximize efficiency Qualifications • Prior machine operator, press room, or manufacturing experience preferred, • Newspaper or commercial web press experience strongly preferred, • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, • Ability to read job tickets, production schedules, and press specifications, • Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment, • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, bend, and climb as needed, • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime, • Strong reliability and attendance record Preferred Skills • Experience with Goss, Harris, or other newspaper web press systems, • Knowledge of press room workflow, color control, and print quality standards, • Preventive maintenance and minor repair skills, • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
