Behind every child who receives services is a coordinated effort to make sure care is authorized, covered, and never interrupted. The Insurance Coordinator sits at the center of that effort. Position Summary We're looking for a detail-driven Insurance Coordinator to own the eligibility and authorization side of our ABA services. In this role, you make sure every client has active insurance coverage and valid authorization in place before and throughout their care --- verifying benefits, securing initial authorizations, and staying ahead of re-authorization deadlines so that no child's services lapse. You'll be the connective tissue between payers, our clinical team, and families, translating insurance requirements into clear next steps and keeping our authorization pipeline accurate and current. This is a role for someone who is organized, persistent, and detail oriented --- someone who takes real ownership of deadlines and follows through until each authorization is confirmed. Position is full-time and compensation is based on experience ranging between $25-30/hr. Key Responsibilities Eligibility & Benefits Verification • Confirm that referrals, diagnoses, and required documentation meet each payer's criteria for ABA services., • Confirm new coverage whenever a client's coverage changes. Authorization & Re-authorization Management • Prepare and submit initial authorization requests for ABA assessments and treatment, ensuring each packet is complete and payer-compliant., • Track every active authorization --- units approved, units used, and expiration dates --- and initiate re-authorizations well ahead of deadlines to prevent any lapse in services., • Coordinate with BCBAs and the clinical team to gather assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and supporting documentation required for authorization and continued-care requests., • Monitor authorization status through submission, follow-up, and approval, escalating delays and resolving payer requests for additional information. Records & Compliance • Maintain accurate, up-to-date authorization records in our systems (client management platform and payer portals), ensuring dates, units, and documentation are always current., • Track key dates and maintain a reliable tickler/reminder system so re-authorizations are never missed., • Handle all client and health information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards. Qualifications Required • 1+ years of experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, or a related healthcare administrative role (ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric therapy experience strongly preferred)., • Working knowledge of insurance concepts --- eligibility, benefits, authorizations, medical necessity, and payer requirements., • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage many deadlines at once without letting anything slip., • Clear, professional written and verbal communication., • Comfort working in insurance portals, EHR/practice-management systems, and standard office software (spreadsheets, email)., • Persistence and comfort with payer follow-up --- including phone calls and appeals of incomplete or delayed requests., • A discreet, professional approach to confidential health information (HIPAA). Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. As we continue to scale our CPG business across retail channels nationwide, this role is critical to ensuring our products move efficiently, on time, and on budget from our production facility to distributors, retail partners, and DTC fulfillment centers. Beyond freight, this role owns CPG inventory management end to end, weeks of supply (WOS) tracking, on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance at retailers, and inventory transfers across our 3PL network and supports our scoop shop business through 3PL inventory management, intercompany freight coordination, and logistics cost management and controls. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of operations, vendor management, and customer service. You'll work closely with our production, sales, and finance teams to coordinate domestic freight movements, manage carrier relationships, manage inventory health across our distributor and 3PL network, and help build the logistics infrastructure that supports Van Leeuwen's next stage of growth. This role will be based out of our Bronx office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office at least two to three days a week. This is a remote position. While candidates do not need to live in NYC, individuals located within close proximity to the NYC area are preferred to allow for occasional in-person events, team gatherings, and social media content days. Travel time for approved in-person activities will be compensated.     We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, ensure accurate medication dispensing, and support positive patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate service. The Staff Pharmacist works collaboratively with pharmacy technicians, healthcare providers, and patients to promote medication safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality healthcare delivery. Responsibilities • Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations., • Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions., • Perform medication therapy reviews and assist in optimizing therapeutic outcomes., • Prepare and compound medications as required, utilizing proper aseptic technique and established pharmacy procedures., • Assist with the preparation and verification of IV medications and infusions when applicable., • Conduct patient assessments related to medication therapy and collaborate with healthcare providers regarding treatment recommendations., • Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems for prescription processing, documentation, and medication reconciliation., • Support immunization services and medication administration activities in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies., • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times., • Monitor for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse drug events., • Assist with inventory management activities, including medication ordering, storage, and monitoring for expired products., • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements., • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care., • Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment. Qualifications • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy., • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the applicable state., • Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, pharmacology, medication therapy management, and patient counseling., • Experience in LTC, retail, hospital, specialty, or institutional pharmacy settings preferred., • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacotherapy principles., • Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and EMR/EHR platforms., • Experience with medication compounding and aseptic technique preferred., • Familiarity with immunization administration and medication therapy management services., • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance requirements., • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or specialty pharmacy., • Experience with IV preparation and sterile compounding., • Immunization certification., • Board certification or advanced clinical training is a plus.
