Job DescriptionPrimary Job Title: Phlebotomist Floater – 1st ShiftAlternate/Related Job Titles: • Phlebotomist III – Float, • Patient Services Representative III, • Lead Phlebotomy Technician, • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 3 months, • Start: As Soon As Possible, • Pay Rate: $19.85 – $21.80 per hourJob Summary:The Phlebotomist Floater – 1st Shift represents the face of the organization to patients and clients across multiple locations. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, ensuring accurate specimen preparation, and maintaining a professional, patient-focused environment. The Floater must be skilled in all aspects of phlebotomy and capable of stepping in to support or lead site operations, ensuring seamless service delivery across assigned facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and superior communication skills while maintaining compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.Key Responsibilities:, • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties with skill, accuracy, and professionalism., • Provide multi-site coverage as needed across Patient Service Centers (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), Long-Term Care, or Mobile settings., • Act as a coach, mentor, and onboarding resource for new employees; provide feedback to supervisors as required., • Lead or assist with daily operations, including staff scheduling and workflow management at assigned sites., • Build and maintain trust with patients by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring comfort throughout the collection process., • Ensure compliance with all safety, confidentiality, and quality standards., • Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, Billing, Logistics, IT) to resolve client issues and maintain service excellence., • Handle high-volume and complex patient environments with professionalism and attention to detail., • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper labeling and storage of specimens., • Follow all company policies, dress code, and health/safety protocols.Required Experience:, • 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections., • Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy (PSC/IOP) environment preferred., • Customer service or retail service background preferred., • Proficiency in keyboard/data entry and clinical software systems.Education & Certification:, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington).Required Skills:, • Phlebotomy (pediatric, geriatric, capillary), • Multi-site Coverage / Floater Experience, • Leadership and MentorshipPreferred Skills:, • Patient Service Center Operations, • Client and Customer Communication, • Laboratory Safety and Quality AssuranceAdditional Skills from Original Description:, • Staff Training and Onboarding, • Workflow Coordination, • Specimen Verification and Documentation, • Team Collaboration, • Confidentiality and ComplianceSchedule:, • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (5 hours/day), • Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, • Eastern Time ZoneBenefits:, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
