Job Description LOCATION: Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Ulster- Highland, NY 12528 SHIFT: Full Time RATE: $45 – $52.24 JOB DESCRIPTION: An Occupational Therapist helps patients with physical impairments develop, regain or maintain their ability to perform daily activities through varying skills and techniques or using adaptive equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan, • Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care, • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and primary mental health and evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on patients, • Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding the patient, • Demonstrate ability to work with senior residents, • New York State Occupational Therapist licensure, • Current CPR certification, • Physical strength to lift between 50-100lbs, • Able to collaborate with a wide range of health care disciplines, as well as offer insight to patient and family members, • Possess thorough knowledge of the educational and therapeutic values of occupational therapy, as well as the procedures and principles of administration, organization, and management, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Referral Bonus Program, • Weekly or Same Day Pay Options
