There are two (2) types of assignments in this Level of positions. For Specialized Imaging Assignments, performs typical tasks of Assignment Levels I and II, as listed below, for special procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography in Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Mammography; and performs additional related Assignment Level III tasks described below, as applicable to this type of assignment. For Supervisory Assignments, in addition to performing duties of lower Assignment Levels at a more difficult and responsible level, performs the duties described below for Assignment Level III. Performs procedures on patients whose conditions require specialized expertise., 2. Assists Radiologists, other physicians and allied health care professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures., 3. Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance., 4. Monitors patient and equipment condition during procedure and reports changes to appropriate health care professional., 5. Assists and guides radiographers in the performance of a wide variety of x-ray procedures., 6. Trains and assists radiographers in a wide variety of x-ray procedures., 7. Plans, schedules and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the area to ensure continuous flow of work., 8. Supervises radiographers and ancillary personnel assigned to the area., 9. Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit., 2. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures and equipment., 4. May perform radiologic procedures, as required., 5. Performs special procedures including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography)., 6. Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings., 7. Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control and maintenance of technical equipment., 8. Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs., 9. Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service., 10.
