Job Description Role Overview This is a nursing leadership (management) position overseeing the Labor & Delivery unit at a large acute care hospital system in Corpus Christi, Texas. You would be responsible for daily operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and clinical leadership for women’s services. Job Description A Manager of Labor and Delivery RN is needed in Corpus Christi, TX to lead a busy Women's Center that includes 19 labor beds, 5 OB emergency (OBed) beds, and 3 surgical suites, along with an on-site NICU and a graduate medical education program. The Women's Center is part of a 630+ bed regional healthcare system serving Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. The role. Reporting to the Director, this manager leads a team of approximately 80 FTEs across the Labor and Delivery unit. Day-to-day responsibilities center on overseeing unit operations and staffing, monitoring and evaluating nursing care delivery against established policies and procedures, and holding staff accountable for quality metrics and clinical outcomes. In addition to managing L&D directly, the manager rotates on-call coverage for Postpartum, Antepartum, and Labor and Delivery every third week for one week at a time, handling phone calls and emergency notifications during that period.
