Position Overview Our client is seeking dependable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transport Drivers (MAVO) on behalf of our client. Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities while providing courteous assistance throughout the transport process. This position requires individuals who are reliable, patient-focused, and comfortable assisting individuals with mobility needs. Drivers operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles and ensure passengers are safely secured during transport. Schedules vary based on patient appointments and daily routing needs. Availability is required from 7am - 8pm, with flexibility depending on scheduled trips. Location: Lakewood, NJ Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Salary: $18 – $21 per hour Key Responsibilities • Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, and other approved locations., • Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices., • Operate wheelchair lifts and properly secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment., • Maintain a professional, courteous, and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and healthcare staff., • Follow all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and transportation protocols., • Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, route changes, delays, or patient needs., • Complete required trip documentation and logs accurately., • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License with a clean driving record., • Current MAVO Certification (Mobility Assistance Vehicle Operator) or ability and willingness to become certified., • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening., • Strong communication and customer service skills., • Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs when necessary., • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours based on transportation schedules.Preferred, • Previous experience in medical transportation, healthcare, or patient services., • CPR certification.
