Position Overview This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work from home while delivering meaningful HR impact for client organizations and their employees, including onsite client support as needed. This role is based in Arizona and requires: • Onsite travel to client locations within Arizona when business needs require, and, • Remote support for California-based clients, making prior hands-on California HR experience essential. Compensation & Benefits • Benefits: Competitive benefits, strong work-life balance, professional growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment How You’ll Make a Difference As an HR Consultant, you will serve as a trusted HR advisor and strategic partner to client organizations, either acting as their dedicated HR professional or leading specialized HR initiatives. You’ll help organizations: • Stay compliant with California and Federal employment laws, • Support Arizona-based client operations onsite, • Strengthen leadership and people practices, • Navigate complex employee relations matters, • Build positive, high-performing workplace cultures Key Responsibilities • Advise and guide clients on HR best practices while executing core HR initiatives, • Manage HR responsibilities A–Z across the employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through employee relations and terminations, • Conduct HR audits to identify compliance risks and recommend solutions, • Draft, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes, • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compliance, • Coach leaders and managers to strengthen leadership effectiveness and team performance, • Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations, • Deliver HR training and development programs, • Support payroll setup and administration, as needed What You Bring • Arizona residency required, • Ability to travel onsite to Arizona client locations as needed, • 8–10 years of progressive HR Management or Director-level experience, • Demonstrated, hands-on experience supporting California employers (required), • Expert knowledge of Federal and California employment laws, • Multi-state HR experience strongly preferred, • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) highly desirable, • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred, • Spanish proficiency preferred, • Strong payroll processing experience preferred, • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client advisory skills, • Ability to make independent, confident HR decisions, • Strong leadership presence and professional judgment, • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities, • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools, • Fully functional remote office setup Why Join Us? • True work-life balance in a consulting environment, • High-trust role with autonomy and leadership responsibility, • Supportive, collaborative HR consulting team, • Opportunity to make a meaningful multi-state impact for organizations and employees If you’re ready to apply your HR expertise in a flexible, consultative environment while maintaining balance, purpose, and professional growth, we encourage you to apply.
