Job Overview: As a Shift Manager Level 1 at Ono Hawaiian BBQ, you'll orchestrate a seamless dining experience, utilizing your adept management skills to ensure smooth operations. Alongside providing exemplary customer service and overseeing orders and POS systems, you'll lead a team, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas: • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment., • Handle store operations, paperwork, and email communication., • Understand, comply, enforce, and train all store level employees on health codes and safety procedures., • Understand, comply, enforce, and train all store level employees on company policies and procedures., • Understand, comply, enforce, and train all store level employees on Front Crew Training Guideline and Kitchen Crew Training Guideline., • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding employment, hiring, firing, discipline, scheduling, and oversight., • Provide customer service, greet customers, and assist customers with their orders., • Execute marketing programs and implement new product items., • Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system, handling payment, serve food to customers., • Perform cashier closing and daily closing procedure at the end of each shift or day and ensure employees TO comply with company cash handling procedures., • Perform food preparation, stocking of inventory, food quality and portion control when cooking and serving food at the cookline., • Prepare multiple food orders at the cookline and ensure the food is served accurately and timely to customers., • Maintain the cleanliness of the store by performing daily and weekly cleaning and sanitizing tasks., • Handle and resolve employee and customer complaints and issues., • Interview, hire, train, manage, supervise, discipline, and evaluate employees., • Schedule and coordinate meal and rest periods to comply with all legal requirements., • Evaluate, monitor, and input data to Total Sales and Food Cost Form (OD009)., • Complete the order form(s) for front, kitchen, office, and beverage inventory., • Help complete the office Inventory Count Form every quarter., • May handle petty cash as designated by management., • Manage day-to-day activities and ensure all aspects of restaurant operations run smoothly and effectively., • Back up General Manager Level 2 when necessary., • Complete the Weekly Report (OD040)., • May require a minimum of two years’ work experience in Ono Hawaiian BBQ., • Proficiency in either front or kitchen operations with a general understanding of all store operations., • Food Manager Certification required by the state or local health department., • Basic math skills, basic English written and verbal communication skills, & basic computer skills and familiarity with internet and email communication., • Strong leadership and time management skills., • Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system, handling payment, serve food to customers., • Excellent customer service skills., • Reliable transportation is required., • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays., • Eligible for awards program, • 401(k) matching program to help you save for retirement., • Comprehensive medical, dental, and Vision insurance for you and your dependents., • We offer life insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Paid Sick Time off.
