The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, brand management, content strategy, and communication. This role is both strategic and hands-on, blending creative development with tactical execution to support NewBoCo’s mission and diverse programs, including EntreFEST, our education initiatives, and entrepreneurial support services and events. Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing & Brand Management * Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for NewBoCo programs and initiatives. * Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels. * Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics and KPIs. Content Creation & Design * Create and design physical and digital materials including flyers, brochures, end-of-year impact reports, ads, and other collateral. * Develop content that aligns with various brand voices for programs under the NewBoCo umbrella. * Write, schedule, and manage engaging blog posts, landing pages, and other website content using WordPress. * Create ad designs for both EntreFEST and other programs for print and digital use. Digital & Social Media Management * Manage multiple social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with different tones and audiences. * Develop and maintain a proactive social media calendar. * Engage with online communities by monitoring activity, responding to messages, and participating in conversations. * Develop and publish engaging content that tells the story of NewBoCo and its programs. Email Marketing & Communications * Lead all email marketing efforts, including campaign creation, writing, segmentation, scheduling, and performance analysis. * Maintain relationships with local media and publications to pitch and promote NewBoCo initiatives. Team Collaboration * Collaborate with internal teams to gather stories, program updates, and behind-the-scenes content. * Attend and support organizational events to capture content and support promotional needs. Qualifications Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, related field, or work equivalent experience. * 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment. * Proven experience managing brand voice and content across multiple platforms. * Proficiency in graphic design tools preferred (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). * Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail. * Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar). * Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress. * Solid understanding of SEO basics and Google Analytics. * Excellent organizational and project management skills. Preferred: * Experience in event marketing and promotion. * Familiarity with Eastern Iowa’s entrepreneurial and education landscape. * Basic photography and video editing skills.
