American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 03/09/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, rotating, • Work in a 34-bed Emergency Department treating a mixed patient population, • Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1, • Position includes drips and titrations, • Night shift weekend package schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday with flexible hours (1500-0330, 1700-0530, 1900-0730), totaling 36 hours per week, • No on-call requirements, • Floating may be required to Marion ED (freestanding campus) and Jones Regional Medical Center, • Uses EPIC EMR system; previous EPIC experience required, • Scrub colors accepted are black, navy blue, and Caribbean blue solids, • Duties include administering critical care, drips and titrations, and responding to diverse emergencies, • New hires will receive up to 16 hours of orientation, • May work as part of interdisciplinary teams across multiple ED settings, • Must be comfortable floating between main campus and affiliated freestanding/remote EDs, • Required to work scheduled weekend and may be assigned holiday shifts, • Professional reference from a supervisor or nurse manager within the last 24 months preferred, • Candidates living within 50 miles may be considered local\n \n Requirements\n, • Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration, • Minimum 24 months of current Emergency Room nursing experience required, • Completion of at least one travel contract within the last 18 months required, • Certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (may be obtained during onboarding), • Acceptable de-escalation certificates: CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA preferred (can be obtained during onboarding), • EPIC EMR experience required, • Driver’s license required, • Skills checklist specific to Emergency Room nursing required\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
