American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in El Paso, Texas. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 05/11/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 11, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Located on the 3rd floor of a hospital in El Paso, TX, • Telemetry Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with 24 beds, • Patient population includes post-cardiac cath lab/PACU patients (left/right heart caths, pacemakers, Watchman procedures, ablations), stroke patients, and COVID patients, • Patient ratio of 1:5, • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, • 2 weekends required per pay period, • No on-call requirements, • Uses GE remote telemetry equipment, • EMR: MeditechRequirements, • Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start), • Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required, • Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry RN experience, • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation required, • US SSN and DOB required for consideration, • One professional reference required, • No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 monthsAdditional Information, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted, • Unit team includes charge nurses and PCT leads on each shift, providing strong support structure, • Shift huddle attendance at the start of each shift (6:45 AM or 6:45 PM) is expected and punctuality is required, • Bedside shift report (BSSR) and updating patient communication boards are standard expectations, • RTO requests are considered with early communication; scheduling is done via self-scheduling through Facility Scheduler, • Galaxy blue scrubs required for nurses; hooded sweaters, full pull-over sweaters, fanny packs, and Crocs are not permitted, • Charge nurse experience, critical care experience, and monitor tech experience are preferred but not required With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
