Job Description Job Summary: The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling will act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The Crew Lead’s task will be to ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling will consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and escalate to Project Manager if necessary., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling coordinates with Project Manager/Project Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling fully completes all IES Communications, LLC. and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required)., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling will perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red-lined as-built drawings., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and constructions meetings when required., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s)., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s)., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s)., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds., • Must be able to stand and walk large jobsites regularly, • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones., • The Crew Lead - Structured Cabling must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed., • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency., • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field., • Must be able to terminate fiber., • Must possess a minimum of six (6) months supervisory and/or managerial experience., • Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above., • Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements., • Must know the universal communications color codes., • Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools, • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project)., • Project Lead – Structured Cabling Job Summary: The Quality Training Specialist will be responsible for trade-related curriculum development and training for new and existing IES teams, quality audits and on-site support to IES projects. General Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and provide trade-related, project management and delivery training in the classroom. This will include hands on demonstrations; (ex: class outlines, presentations, handouts, tests, design exercises), • Develop pre-employment trade-related job skill assessments (both hands on and written), • Prepare employees to accomplish job results by developing, planning, conducting, and evaluating management training, • Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, and reports, understanding job-specific functions and tasks, • Conduct training classes by presenting job-specific and company-specific software applications utilizing computer and virtual classrooms, webinars and other methods as required, • Evaluates training by assessing effectiveness of training to specific job applications, • Administers written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance., • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, • Implement training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance, • Maintain personal knowledge, training and proficiency on installed products and course materials, • Work with training team to design and implement new training programs and revise old programs, • Ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for staff/students, • Operate as a team member of management, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Lead by positive example on policy, quality, safety, employee, ethical, and customer satisfaction attitude., • Must be able to work a non-standard work schedule as required to provide job, team or individual specific training., • For demonstration purposes, must be able to climb ladders, use hand and power tools, lift 50 pounds., • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop, implement and review project process improvement(s)., • Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners., • Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s)., • Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements., • Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
