Job Description Position Overview The Property Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and resident experience across one or more residential communities. This role ensures the property is well-maintained, fully leased, compliant with regulations, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of residential housing operations, and a passion for creating welcoming, thriving communities. Key Responsibilities Operations Management • Manage all daily operations of the residential properties, ensuring smooth, efficient workflows., • Oversee maintenance personnel and activities, coordinate vendor services, and ensure timely completion of work orders., • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and strong curb appeal., • Oversee rent collection, delinquency management, and monthly financial reporting., • Manage property budgets, control expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities., • Prepare and maintain accurate records, contracts, leases, and regulatory documentation., • Lead leasing efforts, including occupancy management, renewals, and market-rate optimization., • Oversee advertising, online listings, signage, and community outreach to attract prospective residents., • Ensure leasing teams follow consistent, professional procedures and deliver excellent customer service., • Foster a positive, responsive, resident-centric environment., • Address resident concerns, complaints, and escalations professionally and promptly., • Implement retention strategies to boost resident satisfaction and renewal rates., • Coordinate or support resident engagement events and community-building initiatives using social media., • Supervise, train, and support property staff, including leasing agents and maintenance teams., • Promote a collaborative, high-service culture aligned with company values. Qualifications • 3+ years of property management experience in residential or multifamily housing. Rent Control experience a plus, • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws, leasing practices, and property operations., • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-service skills., • Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage)., • Ability to manage budgets, interpret financial statements, and make data-driven decisions., • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities., • Property management certification (e.g., CAM, CPM, ARM) is a plus., • Experience managing multiple properties or large-scale communities., • Background in maintenance coordination or capital project management is a plus., • Full-time, onsite role with occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or community needs.
