Job Description The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking motivated and engaging SAT or ACT tutors for assignments at a local learning center with students in grades 9-12 in Millburn, NJ and surrounding communities. Company: TPAPT Chapter, Millburn, NJ Tests: SAT all sections Classification: Contract Compensation: $55-$65/hr Location: Established Local Learning Center The Position: • Provide in-person tutoring to students in grades 9-12, • Tutoring assignments are typically 60 minutes, • Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable, • Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 2PM and 8PM EST during the week and between 10am - 4pm on weekend days. The New Jersey Tutoring Corps seeks to hire tutors to work with scholars in partnership with iLearn-Paterson. Tutors will work with small groups of scholars, typically in groups of 1-4, in grades K-8, in building skills in math and literacy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Complete all on-the-job competencies as outlined in the On-the-Job Training Checklist, including but not limited to the following tasks: * Engage and communicate instructions with scholars in grades K-8 to build on existing mathematics and/or literacy skills; * Complete daily records, including attendance (digitally) on scholar progress and site needs using the tools provided; * Tutors must be able to sit with scholars for 4-6 hours a day; * Prepare lessons digitally, use the data to drive instruction, and maintain respect for the confidentiality of all program data; * Have proficient technology skills; * Communicate regularly with your site coordinator to provide optimum learning experiences for scholars; * Participate in coaching from an instructional coach and demonstrate the ability to receive and act upon feedback; * Possess the desire to continuously grow and learn; * Use an asset-based approach in working with scholars, “glass half full”; * Be responsive and work collaboratively with a team-oriented mindset; this includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with classroom teachers and building administration; * Complete all training; * Arrive to work on time, * Complete other duties as assigned. Job DescriptionSalary: $70/h for Tutoring & Program Revenue-share BrainStorms Specialized Academic Coaching (SAC) program provides best-in-class support services to students with specific learning needs (& their families). This includes advocacy, skills training, executive function coaching, high-level academic mentoring, and more. The SAC Director will oversee the SAC program specifically by promoting the program so that it grows, training staff in best practices, and working to retain and delight client families. The SAC Director establishes, develops, and maintains relationships with current clients and prospective clients to generate new business for the organizations services. The SAC Director is responsible for setting the tone for the program, overseeing the logistics, schedules, hiring, marketing and overall coordination of the SAC program. He or she will manage communication with parents and within the broader community, and is expected to produce virtual content for the purposes mentioned above. The SAC Director works closely with the CEO to ensure the program is running effectively and reaching its desired goals. The SAC Director will also participate in private tutoring of SAC students.
