Job Description Job Summary An Epic Physician Billing Analyst is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Epic Professional Billing module within a healthcare organization. This role is vital for ensuring accurate patient billing, claims processing, and reimbursement for services provided by individual healthcare providers such as doctors and therapists. This position requires being onsite five days per week during training. After training, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays onsite in Hicksville or Garden City, NY. Responsibilities • Configure and customize the Epic Professional Billing application to meet business needs and workflows, • Maintain and support the Resolute Professional Billing module, including charges, benefit engines, and collection agency workflows, • Perform ongoing system maintenance, updates, and testing of system changes before migrating to production, • Analyze financial workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, • Collaborate with IT, finance, and operational stakeholders to align Epic workflows with business needs, • Serve as the primary support contact for Epic Professional Billing end-users, including troubleshooting billing and reimbursement issues, • Provide training, education, and procedural documentation for system users, • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, • Current certification in Epic Professional Billing, • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Epic Professional Billing, including charge router, work queue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine, and estimates, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, medical billing codes, and insurance procedures, • Familiarity with professional billing vs. hospital billing differences, • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems, • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, • Medical, Dental, and Vision (BCBS), • 401(k) retirement plan, • Flexible Spending Account (FSA), • Tuition reimbursement, • Paid time off, 9 paid holidays, and 12 sick days
