Job DescriptionAssistant Director, NYISO Center of ExcellenceAlbany, NYFusco Personnel is actively recruiting for an Assistant Director, NYISO Center of Excellence, to join our client in leading the nation in the fight for global climate change and the transition to a clean-energy powered economy. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Primary Responsibilities • Directs PAR project managers (including supervision of a director report) as well as staff from across several departments to efficiently participate in the governance structure of the NYISO, representing both the interests of end-use consumers and New York’s policy direction, • Engages with Executive to both raise awareness of relevant NYISO issues and to seek consensus positions in support of coalition building and formal voting activities, • Engages with NYISO staff and fellow NYISO stakeholders to either gain understanding or achieve consensus on important market issues, • Monitors FERC related activity that could impact New York ratepayers, organize Authority-wide positions and co-authors filings or comments to FERC on selected subject matter, • Assists New York State energy policy decision-makers by quantitatively assessing the impact of energy, environmental and economic policies and programs on the State’s citizens, businesses and environment; and helping foster informed energy planning through the quantitative analysis of energy issues and policies, • Supports development of the State Energy Plan, including research of a wide variety of energy topics for further analysis and inclusion in the Plan, collaboration with other topic-specific experts within NYSERDA and at other State agencies, and drafting of specific portions of the Plan and the supplemental Transmission and Distribution Study, • Manages external contractor teams engaged in analysis on behalf of NYSERDA as well as participate in and lead teams from NYSERDA and other State agencies to advance projects.Minimum Qualifications, • Perform all managerial and supervisory responsibilities with respect, fairness, consistency, and inclusion across the workforce, • Strong knowledge base of:, • fuel and electricity market structure and dynamics and energy and environmental regulatory structures, • clean energy, environmental and climate policy approaches and mechanisms in New York and other jurisdictions, • economic considerations of clean energy alternatives including environmental externalities, • energy system modeling tools and methods, • Genuine passion for matters relating to energy production and use along with an interest in supporting a dynamic and talented team, • Top-notch communications and interpersonal skills that resonate with audiences of different backgrounds and the ability to communicate persuasively, concisely and unambiguously in speech and in writing for broader audience consumption, • Self-starter who acts independently, directs one’s own work and can handle diverse tasks quickly and accurately within a high-performance environment, • Keen awareness of the economics, regulations, institutional and market drivers, and other factors that affect decision-making of partners and other stakeholders, • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering, economics, or mathematics) with 8 years of relevant experience including 4 years of supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications, • Master's degree (preferably in engineering, economics, or mathematics) with 6 years of relevant experience including 4 years of supervisory experience Salary, • $123- $156kFusco Personnel takes great pride in successfully matching talent and culture for our valued clients. Position Overview The Marketing and Communications Intern is responsible for performing and assisting with various administrative tasks and projects to support the Director of Communication and Organizational Impact. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Communication • Assist with writing high quality and compelling longer form pieces, as well as shorter social media posts, that communicate stories from the KIPP community to inspire stakeholders (donors, staff, families, and the general public)., • Publish ongoing stories (internal and external) that capture and share the celebratory aspects of KIPP Capital Region for internal newsletters., • Support building monthly content plans and comprehensive annual communications calendar that supports the communications efforts of KIPP., • Gather in-person content for digital media, including quotes from families, teachers, and students; photos and videos from schools., • Support KIPP organizational goals through digital marketing:, • Support content creation and messaging strategies for all digital marketing efforts, organic and paid, within these campaigns including, but not limited to, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, search and display advertising, website, video, streaming audio, and email marketing, • Use e-marketing platform ConstantContact to create email marketing templates and newsletters to drive success with various audiences, • Collaborate with internal teams to make website updates using WordPress or in partnership with website vendors, • Create and execute in partnership with the Director of Communication and Organizational Impact a holistic timeline and calendar for digital strategy and deliverables related to all campaigns outlined above, including for talent recruitment, • Assist with building brand loyalty and awareness by developing and implementing effective communication strategies., • Meet with partner teams, academic leadership teams, school leaders, and other KIPP Capital Region stakeholders to establish project scopes for writing projects, collateral and marketing campaigns., • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of marketing materials (one-pagers, brochures, etc.)., • Develop collateral and communication that is fresh, powerful, and action-oriented., • Work collaboratively with the team and internal partners to help shape ideas or initial thoughts into bigger ideas and clear prose., • Perform other duties as outlined by the Director of Communication and Organizational Impact., • Committed to furthering anti-racism, equity, and racial justice in all our efforts, and expect all our stakeholders to participate in this work so that we can create a future without limits for our students together., • Complies with all charter, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including the NYS Department of Education, Department of Health, and NYS Office of Children and Family Services., • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and current enrollment in an Associate, Bachelor, or Masters program at an accredited College or University required., • Open to an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students, families, and educators., • The internship is ideally suited for individuals seeking hands-on experience in Communications., • The internship duration may vary depending on academic requirements and organizational needs., • Preferred experience working directly with students, preferably required in the charter, private, or public school environment., • Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred but not required., • Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours.
