What You Will Do: • Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the culinary area., • Managing grocery shopping and/or ordering supplies., • Preparing raw ingredients for recipes, including washing, chopping, storing, and handling., • Creating well-balanced, nutritious, and appealing meals tailored to participants’ dietary needs and restrictions, with appropriate substitutions as needed., • Developing and updating menus, maintaining grocery inventory, and assisting with kitchen equipment upkeep., • Assisting in planning and scheduling special occasion parties., • Following established recipes and using designated ingredients., • Practicing portion control and adhering to diet orders and physician recommendations., • Complying with all food handling and safety regulations., • Managing food storage, refrigeration, and inventory rotation., • Promoting safe food handling practices and encouraging accountability among clients., • Maintaining a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment., • Reporting maintenance needs or hazardous conditions to the Manager or Maintenance Department., • Notifying the supervisor immediately of any necessary house or appliance repairs. Requirements: Minimum age of 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent.
