Inspections include but are not limited to landside roads, terminal facilities, airfield runways, taxiways, safety areas, imaginary surfaces, NAVAIDS critical areas and lighting systems., • Documents issues, discrepancies, and non-complying conditions concerning 14 FAR Part 139 and 49 FAR Part 1540 and 1542, and tenant activities to appropriate parties and reports for follow-up actions:, • Monitors progress of corrections; determines severity of discrepancies and priority for corrective action., • Authorizes the issuance of Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) as necessary., • Initiates and directs the appropriate Contingency Plan(s) and makes decisions on behalf of the Airport Manager during emergencies and other events., • Coordinates personnel efforts during emergencies., • Directs and commits resources to ensure the containment of potential threats or incidents., • Ensure compliance with the ACM, ASP and other applicable Federal, State and Local regulations., • Directs or initiates action to prevent unsafe operating conditions on the entire Airport complex during inclement weather., • Manage the Airport Operations 24-hour Command Center., • Monitors the activities and operations of general facility and utility systems., • Serves as liaison between the Airport and contractors during construction activities; coordinates and directs maintenance and construction work on runways, taxiways, aprons, and terminal facilities; ensures safety and security are maintained during these activities., • Ensures coordination with the U.S. Secret Service, State Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), TSA, and other agencies pertinent to the security of high-ranking officials, foreign dignitaries, or other “high-risk” individuals that warrant special handling., • Consults with representatives of air carriers, tenants, concessionaires, and Airports Authority personnel to provide assistance and guidance in resolving operational situations/IROPS., • Ensures Airport Operations Daily Activities Report (Daily Log) is compiled correctly and submitted daily., • Will be assigned one or more collateral areas/duties on a continuing basis., • Ensure staff are adequately trained (initial and recurrent) and knowledgeable in relevant procedures and regulations, • Plans and coordinates Airport response during winter operations., • May initiate and serve in the Incident Command System and the Emergency Operations Center during emergency conditions., • Oversees Airport Operations Office activities including the coordination and monitoring of all functions to ensure work is performed in a consistent manner with airport policies, procedures, and regulations, and in accordance with airport standards and to ensure the safety and security of passengers, tenants, and employees., • Coordinate the activities of all service providers on the airport outside of normal office hours., • Find solutions to address emergencies where instructions and precedents do not exist., • Ensure the cleanness and safety of all public and passenger areas., • Undertake special projects and range of specific tasks as directed by the Operations Manager., • Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget., • Review and maintain records and operational logs and prepare reports and correspondence. ., • Attend meetings as required., • May serve in the role of Airport Security Coordinator in that person’s absence., • May substitute for the Operations Manager in that person’s absence., • Performs other duties as assigned., • Review and make revision recommendations, as necessary, for the ACM and ASP.
