Job Description Stern & Eisenberg is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our New York Practice Office which is located in Cranford, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have prior New York Foreclosure experience, familiarity with New York civil practice and court procedure, experience with title report review and the drafting of pleadings and motions. If candidate does not have experience in these areas, other law firm experience will be considered. Candidate should possess excellent computer skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. Please submit your resume if you meet the following qualifications. Job Type: Full-time • In-office position with hybrid work schedule after 90 days. Fully remote situations may be considered for the right candidate., • Familiarity with the New York Foreclosure process., • Familiarity with reviewing title search reports and continuation searches., • Collects and organizes documentation for attorney review., • Draft default and summary judgment motions for attorney review, foreclosure judgment motions and other court pleadings., • Electronically file motions and other notices via the NY State Court Electronic Filing website. Communication with court staff as necessary., • Maintain client files in our case management system (CaseAware)., • Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks., • Utilize client portals (such as Vendorscape, Black Knight/ICE, Equator, TEMPO, etc.) to complete document requests, attorney fee requests follow ups on pending items and report milestone event completion., • Communicate all events and developments to clients using portals, email and client preferred methods of communication (fax, mail, overnight, as appropriate)., • Experience as a paralegal, preferably in NY real estate or foreclosure law., • Strong follow-up system, which includes proper calendaring, to ensure deadlines are not missed., • Ability to handle a large volume of work., • Ability to multi-task., • Organization of workload and prioritization of tasks., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
