Job DescriptionDescription: Overview: The Enrollment Specialist plays a key role in building strong mentoring matches by assessing, enrolling, and supporting both volunteers (Bigs) and youth (Littles). This position works closely with families, community partners, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and meaningful enrollment experience. If you enjoy working with people, building relationships, and making a direct impact in your community—this role is for you. What You’ll Do Enrollment & Assessment • Conduct volunteer and youth enrollments, including interviews, orientations, and home visits, • Assess eligibility and readiness for participation in mentoring programs, • Complete background checks, reference checks, and required documentation, • Engage families and youth awaiting matches through regular check-ins, • Collaborate with schools and community partners to generate referrals, • Identify and resolve barriers to enrollment, • Facilitate match meetings and support relationship development, • Monitor matches focusing on child safety, youth development, and volunteer satisfaction, • Maintain accurate records and documentation, • Conduct surveys and track program outcomes, • Complete match support contacts and reports on time, • Partner with internal teams for seamless service delivery, • Represent BBBSLI in the community, • Support events, trainings, and outreach efforts, • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or related field., • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required., • Experience in the social services field is preferred., • Familiarity with psychological diagnoses and medications is a plus., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)., • New York State Driver’s License and the ability to travel across Nassau/Suffolk Counties. Schedule • 35-Hour Workweek with 1 hour for lunch!, • Hybrid position (Remote Monday and Friday), • Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Wednesday & Thursday: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM, • Two Saturdays per month (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, in place of Monday) Working Conditions : • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside. Physical Requirements: • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
