We are seeking a self-motivated sales leader to guide a team of premier sales professionals as a Region Manager within the Direct Writer segment of Sentry. This team provides Commercial Lines of Insurance, 401(k), and Life Insurance needed in today’s world to safeguard the businesses across the North Region. As the Region Manager, you will develop and implement a strategic and tactical plan that focuses on development of your team, including recruiting, performance management, sales, customer acquisition, customer retention and financial goals. Residency within the territory is required. What You’ll Do As a Region Manager, you’ll hire and develop a team of Account Executives who will sell our Sentry products including commercial insurance, 401(k), and life insurance in Sentry’s 9 Focused Markets. In addition, you’ll: * Assist your team with software programs and systems used in our sales process * Encourage, train and work with each of your team members to develop their book of business and maximize selling opportunities * Recruit and train your team, while providing leadership and encouraging high morale within your region * Monitor, review and evaluate your team’s development * Manage expenses within your territory * Maintain state licensing and participate in outside studies to improve sales skills * Prepare reports relating to production, loss ratios, etc. What it Takes * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience * 2+ years of related work experience * Exceptional sales, communication and relationship building skills * A self-disciplined individual that can thrive in a remote work environment * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, communicate effectively and remain organized * Strong analytical and math skills * Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with a valid driver’s license and able to meet travel requirements * Required to have primary residence within your sales territory Based on qualifications and experience, the base salary range is $102,235-$140,530 with additional earning potential including other incentives on new and renewal business. Summary: Senior Entry Writer The Senior Entry Writer’s primary duty is to process customs declarations, including all related activities, for one or more major accounts, and to provide excellent and timely customer service. The Entry Writer performs all duties correctly and in compliance with all government regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: • Analysis and HTSUS classification of import commodities for customs clearance purposes., • Exercising due diligence as relates to compliance with customs and other federal and state government regulations for clearance of import shipments., • Data input of import and customs related information to Interfacing with customers as relates to the customs clearance process and related customer service issues., • Analysis/problem solving as relates to data transmissions and customs data response., • Promote a positive relationship with the client by ensuring excellent and timely customer service and in conjunction with other departments and third parties., • Process data through the Company’s system and obtain other government agency releases as appropriate., • Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure/arrival/delivery of freight; enter milestone data., • Interfacing with various departments of customs and PGAs., • Analysis and troubleshooting as required Interfacing with OIA ocean and air import departments in relation to shipments., • Document procurement, customs clearance, and billing purposes., • Departmental Training and Development., • Departmental Leadership and Support.
