Job Summary: The Program Assistant provides essential customer service and program support to the Dance Center's 5,000+ weekly visitors. This part-time position is situated primarily at the front desk of the Mark Morris Dance Center, where all visitors enter the building. Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The Director of Social Services is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive social services for clients referred to the Children’s Rescue Fund by the NYC DHS-Division of Family Services. This role is designed to help stabilize homeless families by strengthening their independent living skills and achieving their rapid and successful placement into permanent housing. The individual will be responsible for our Lighthouse location in Long Island City, NY and will serve as a member of the management team that works cooperatively to achieve program goals. This 90-unit residence will provide housing for 54 individuals referred by the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA), and the rest 36 units will be apartments for affordable to low-income households. The Case Manager is responsible for providing supportive case management services and counseling to the residents referred by HRA. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders and/or trauma.
