The Role: Most/all of the following service tasks are to be completed daily depending on your role. Responsibilities and Skills: • Positively interact with residents, guests, and vendors while assisting with day-to-day requests and resolving complaints, • Communicate with building management and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations, • Log and keep track of both concierge and building keys for resident use or move-in/move outs, • Maintain safety and security of the building, including monitoring security cameras, responding to emergencies and concerns promptly and efficiently, and exercising great judgement including escalating issues immediately, • Handle package deliveries, including logging and distributing, as well as external vendor deliveries, • Maintain accurate and complete shift logs ensuring proper "handover" for successful communication through shift changes, • Conduct patrol of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Evaluates situations and makes logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work., • Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Job Description POSITION TITLE: Municipal Armed Security Guard POSITION DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS Woodbridge Township is seeking to hire qualified individuals for the position of Municipal Armed Security Guard(s). This is a part time position and the hours are generally 8:30am-4:30pm. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Under direction, patrols the building and provides protection to persons gathered therein from harm, and guards and protects public property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal or unauthorized entry; does other related duties as required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Stands at a post and maintains orderly flow of individuals on entering and leaving., • Identifies employees and visitors entering or leaving the building by recognition of faces/ID badges., • Observes departing individuals who carry unusually large packages or bundles to prevent the theft of government property such as office equipment, books, films, and so forth, and determines if the individual warrants searching., • Observes individuals entering and leaving premises to ensure their safe and orderly conduct., • Knowledge of security measures in detaining persons., • Preparedness to react promptly to situations requiring action., • Propensity to remain alert while performing repetitive duties., • Ability to maintain order among visitors., • Knowledge of procedures to follow in dealing with an emergency., • Capacity to put up with and handle verbal abuse from a person or a group.
