About the Role As Director of Catering, you’ll lead the sales and service efforts for all catered events—driving revenue, fostering client relationships, and ensuring each event is executed flawlessly from proposal to post-event review. You’ll collaborate closely with culinary, banquet, and sales teams to maximize profitability and deliver an elevated guest experience. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement catering sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and optimize event profitability., • Lead a team of catering and event professionals, providing hands-on training, mentorship, and performance guidance., • Build strong relationships with corporate, social, and wedding clients—serving as the primary point of contact from inquiry through event completion., • Partner with the Executive Chef and Banquet Manager to create customized menus, packages, and event experiences., • Oversee contract negotiations, BEO creation, and post-event billing accuracy., • Represent the property at networking events, bridal shows, and community functions to promote catering services., • Maintain a high standard of service, professionalism, and attention to detail that reflects the brand’s reputation for excellence. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in catering sales or event management within an upscale or full-service hotel environment., • Proven leadership and revenue-generating track record., • Strong knowledge of event logistics, menu planning, and banquet operations., • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills., • Proficiency in hotel sales systems (Delphi, Opera, or similar).
