Job Description HOSPITALITY & LEISURE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY Hotel, Mixed-Use, and Complex Real Estate Transactions Locations: New York, NY | Chicago, IL | Phoenix, AZ | Washington, DC A top-15 AmLaw firm is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Hospitality & Leisure Practice Group in New York, Chicago, Phoenix or Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to work with market-leading clients on sophisticated hotel, mixed-use, and complex real estate and corporate transactions across the U.S. and internationally. Candidate Profile • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record, • Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing, • 2-4 years of substantive experience in real estate or transactional matters, • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, commercial contracts, or related transactional documents, • Familiarity with hotel, mixed-use, or hospitality transactions is strongly preferred, but not required, • Prior law firm experience with large, sophisticated deal work is required, • Ability to manage complex workstreams, competing deadlines, and multifaceted transactions, • Ability to manage closings, oversee due diligence, and drive transactions forward efficiently, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Strong analytical capability and demonstrated attention to detail, • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with partners, clients, and cross-office teams, • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceptional client service Key Responsibilities • Represent owners, investors, developers, operators, and financial institutions in hospitality and mixed-use real estate transactions, • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents, including letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, hotel management agreements, franchise agreements, license agreements, and joint venture contracts, • Support financing transactions, including negotiation of loan documents and related deliverables, • Manage deal closings from inception through completion, coordinating all parties and documentation, • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including title and survey review, corporate structuring, zoning, and property-level analysis, • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and global offices to support cross-border and multi-jurisdictional deals, • Work directly with clients and become a trusted advisor through consistent, high-quality service Why Join Us?
