Job Description We’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative for Fire Alarm & Security Systems to drive B2B field sales across the NYC metro. You’ll sell fire alarm, life safety, ARCS (Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems), access control/card access, video surveillance/CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion, and central station monitoring with a focus on service contracts, inspections, and retrofit/TI projects. As part of the SCUTUM Group, we bring added electronic, cyber, and defense security capabilities. Our team pairs NYC Building Code/FDNY expertise with NFPA standards to deliver compliant, high‑quality systems across the five boroughs and the Tri‑State. Responsibilities: Outside Sales Representative, Fire Alarm & Security Systems • Build and manage a territory pipeline; prospect, qualify, propose, and close fire alarm, life safety, ARCS, access control, CCTV/video, intrusion, and monitoring/inspection service contracts across NYC and the Tri‑State., • Develop new business with property and portfolio managers, building owners, government agencies, general contractors/integrators, and national accounts in commercial, multifamily/high‑rise, hospitality, healthcare, and assisted living., • Conduct site walks/building surveys; collaborate on estimating for retrofit, tenant alteration/tenant improvement, inspections, and preventive maintenance opportunities., • Prepare quotes and present integrated solutions aligned with NFPA, NYC Building Code, and FDNY requirements to drive recurring monthly revenue (RMR)., • Coordinate with Accounting, Service, and Project Operations to ensure smooth delivery and strong client experience.Qualifications: Outside Sales Representative, Fire Alarm & Security Systems, • Two‑year Business (or related) degree or equivalent industry experience in life safety or electronic/physical security systems., • 2+ years Outside/Field/Territory Sales experience selling fire alarm, life safety, ARCS, access control, video surveillance/CCTV/IP cameras, intrusion, or central station services; RMR/service‑contract sales preferred., • Working knowledge of NFPA and NYC Building Code/FDNY processes; able to read blueprints, risers, and schematics., • Platform familiarity a plus: EST/Edwards (advanced), Notifier, Siemens, Simplex, Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Milestone, HID.
