Job Overview: Our Part-time Home Infusion RN provides direct care to clients in their home. They instruct and supervise the client and/or significant other in the safe administration of the appropriate therapy. They instruct in the safe storage and disposal of supplies, potential side effects, etc., and supervise as well as evaluate during the course of therapy. They start, restart, and maintain IV access devices, as required. The successful person will remain familiar with the operation and maintenance of all pumps, supplies and access devices. Qualifications: Required: • Current licensure by the New Jersey Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse., • Completion of an IV certification course required., • Previous home infusion experience required., • Successful completion of all orientation programs., • Ability to lift patients and equipment., • Part-Time employment of 22 hours per week., • 8 Hour shifts 3 days a week (Must be available for a Monday or Friday shift), • Work is performed in private homes., • Potential exposure to biomedical/hazardous waste; potential for puncture wounds. Exposure to all climates., • Participates in on-call coverage 2 days per month, which includes 1 weekend every 2 months., • All patient related departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel and medical staff., • Always calls the patient the night before to schedule a visit., • Will notify patient if running late or will not meet the agreed upon time set., • Arranges with the pharmacy for needed supplies, including medications as well as pick-up of sharps containers., • Arrives to work on time., • Attends ongoing continuing education presentations to keep current with certifications and up to date on home infusion therapies., • Communicates in a timely manner with Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor to ensure continuity of care every day., • Leaves report daily., • Communicates with physicians to report client's response to therapy, clarification, and updating orders., • Completes UOR s when appropriate., • Completes time sheets and expense vouchers within appropriate time frames., • Conducts initial assessment, evaluation/teaching, completing all necessary documentation and returning it to the office within one week of visit., • Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the administration of the prescribed therapy, side effects of the medication, potential complications of access device and use of equipment., • Follows current guidelines for infection control and waste disposal recommended by the CDC as verified through infection control logs., • Follows policy and procedures., • Maintains vehicle safety while engaging the use of cell phone, eg: using hand free device, and obeys all local ordinances., • Obtains physician orders for discontinuing home infusion therapy if appropriate or required and generates the order in the chart., • Recognizes those inappropriately assigned to home infusion therapy, and notifies appropriate persons so alternative care can be provided., • Remains knowledgeable regarding the action, side effects, adverse reactions and precautions relating to procedures and therapies administered., • Reports to Nurse Manager any conditions not conducive of optimal patient care., • Reviews Bill of Rights, gets consents signed, does fall assessment, reviews patient meds and completes profile with all patients., • Schedules initial visit to coincide with the first scheduled home dose to be administered in the home setting and checks appropriate patient identifiers., • Understands and adheres to the company policy and requirements., • Willing to be cross trainrk or assist in other areas., • Helps co-workers when appropriate., • Willingness and flexible to work alternating work schedules on short notice. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to): • Develop/Authorize/Maintain and implement standardized inspection plans for all PSM Critical Equipment, including pressure vessels, process vessels, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks, and other equipment., • Perform equipment inspection in accordance with API 510, API 653 and API 570 guidelines and regulations., • Complete post inspection reports and provide recommendations and/or modifications for immediate concerns and future consideration., • Develop, implement and document repair plans for fixed equipment, • Perform field contract administration duties during field repairs of equipment, • Standardize, organize, and maintain required documentation (design bases, inspection plans, inspection reports, etc.) in accord with corporate and site MIQA best practices., • Update SAP and equipment files with equipment history, Inspection Plans., • Ensure that all inspections and tests are performed in accordance with the original equipment design basis and in alignment with recognized and accepted good engineering practice (RAGAGEP)., • Ensure that all repairs to fixed PSM Critical Equipment is documented in accordance with OSHA 1970.119, • Evaluate the fitness-for-service of all fixed PSM Critical Equipment and assist other Technical/Maintenance resources in properly developing and documenting any repairs to return the equipment service., • Perform necessary calculations required within the RAGAGEP to determine the minimum allowable thickness of pressure vessels, piping, and tanks in PSM Critical service., • Provide functional guidance to NEXPERA and contract NDE Examiners, • Evaluate results of various non-destructive inspections on process equipment and provide recommendations based on those inspection results, • Act as an the Authorized Inspectors for PSM Critical pressure vessel, piping, and storage tank inspections and tests, as well as for approval of all alterations to PSM Critical pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks., • Manage & Implement the Corrosion Monitoring program PSAIM® for the sites, • Coordinate contract NDE inspections and perform Field Contract Administrator responsibilities, • Develop Quality Assurance Plans for fabrication of new equipment (ex. tanks, pressure vessels, piping, etc…), • Perform/coordinate QA inspections of new equipment on site and at shop locations., • Estimate equipment remaining life per the applicable RAGAGEP., • Maintaining the site Owners User Manual as applicable., • Perform UT and PT on an as needed non-routine basis (NEXPERA will provide training if not certified) Qualifications In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required: • 3 plus years work experience within high hazardous chemical processing or oil refining industries or similar industries, • At least 2 out of 3 of the following certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653, • Able to travel approximately 30-40% per year, • Successful candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
